nṛpa
O King Parīkṣit.
O King Parīkṣit, when Aṁśumān had glorified the Lord in this way, the great sage Kapila, the powerful incarnation of Viṣṇu, being very merciful to him, explained to him the path of knowledge.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: O King! The great sage Kapila, the powerful incarnation of Viṣṇu, whose was thus glorified, being very merciful to Aṁśumān, spoke to him with intelligence.
Glorification, sincerely offered, draws out the Lord's mercy in the form of further instruction. Praise is not the end — it opens the door to receiving deeper guidance.
Reflection Questions
  • What instruction might be waiting for me on the other side of more genuine glorification of the Lord?
  • Where am I asking for direction without having first offered honest praise?
