Personal Guidance
An emperor's claim once stretched from sunrise to sunset. Sit with that for a moment, then notice he is now a sentence in someone else's book. Worldly fame is not a stable home for the self.
Reflection Questions
- What 'kingdom' of mine — career, reputation, influence — am I treating as more permanent than the historical record actually allows?
- Where am I investing in something that will outlast the next sunset?
