Translation
O Sudarśana! I offer respects to you. O thousand-spoked wheel! O dearest of the Lord! O destroyer of all weapons! O master of the earth! Give auspiciousness to this brāhmaṇa.
O thousand-spoked wheel! O master of the earth (idaspate)!
Personal Guidance
Ambarīṣa, the victim, prays for protection of his attacker. The mark of a Vaiṣṇava is the ability to wish auspiciousness for the very person who has tried to harm him, recognizing that all of us ultimately need the Lord's mercy.
Reflection Questions
- Can I name someone who has hurt me and sincerely wish them spiritual auspiciousness?
- What would change in my heart if I prayed daily for the person I find hardest to forgive?
