In the meantime, only a muhūrta of the Dvādaśī day was left on which to break the fast. Consequently, it was imperative that the fast be broken immediately. In this dangerous situation, the King consulted learned brāhmaṇas.

Gauḍīya
Translation
In the meantime, only twenty-four minutes of the Dvādaśī tithi was left on which to break the fast. The knowledgeable King contemplated this critical situation with brāhmaṇas.
Personal Guidance
Only a muhūrta of Dvādaśī remains and the King consults brāhmaṇas about how to break his fast. In real dilemmas, the devotee does not act alone; he assembles wise counsel under time pressure.
Reflection Questions
- Whom would I call within minutes if a vow's deadline collided with an unfinished duty?
- Have I built a circle of devotee-counselors before such a crisis arises?
