transcendental to the three qualities.
Taking his own daughter, Revatī, Kakudmī went to Lord Brahmā in Brahmaloka, which is transcendental to the three modes of material nature, and inquired about a husband for her.
Purport
It appears that Brahmaloka, the abode of Lord Brahmā, is also transcendental, above the three modes of material nature ( apāvṛtam ).

Translation
Taking his own daughter, Revatī, Kakudmī went to see Brahmā in Brahmaloka, which is uninfluenced by rajas and tamas, and inquired about a husband for her.
Vibhum means Brahmā. His planet is not covered by rajas and tamas (apāvṛtam).
Personal Guidance
Kakudmī takes his daughter Revatī to Brahmaloka to seek a husband. Wise parents consult the highest available authority for their child's lifelong partnership.
Reflection Questions
- Whose counsel would I consult for the biggest decision of someone I love?
- Have I built relationships with elders worth traveling to before such moments arise?
