Translation
The son of Bhānumān was Tribhānu, and his son was the magnanimous Karandhama. Karandhama's son was Maruta, who had no sons and who therefore adopted a son of the Pūru dynasty [Mahārāja Duṣmanta] as his own.
Maruta had no son and therefore adopted Duṣmanta of the Pūru dynasty as his son
Personal Guidance
Maruta has no sons and adopts Duṣmanta from the Pūru line. Inability to produce biological heirs is regularly solved by adoption from an allied dynasty; the Lord arranges continuity by cross-family means.
Reflection Questions
- Where could I receive or extend an adoption that completes someone's family?
- How am I responding to childlessness in others — with pity or with creative arrangement?
