Translation
Learning of your death by the Takṣaka snake, your son Janamejaya, filled with anger, will sacrifice all the snakes in a snake sacrifice.
Personal Guidance
Janamejaya will be angry at his father's death by Takṣaka and perform a snake sacrifice. Even after a devoted death, descendants' grief can drive massive retaliatory actions; our exits leave wakes.
Reflection Questions
- What 'wake' might my own death leave that I could prepare my descendants to handle more peacefully?
- Where could a deathbed letter or conversation prevent later vengeance in my family?
