Translation
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: O King, the son of Divodāsa [Note: SB 9.21.34] was Mitrāyu, and from Mitrāyu came four sons, named Cyavana, Sudāsa, Sahadeva and Somaka. Somaka was the father of Jantu.
The Twenty-second Chapter describes Draupadī in the Divodasa’s dynasty, and Jarāsandha, Duryodhana and Arjuna in Rkṣa’s dynasty.

Personal Guidance
From Mitrāyu come four sons — Cyavana, Sudāsa, Sahadeva, Somaka — and from Somaka, Jantu. Each name in the list once held a destiny we will not learn; the patient counting is a discipline of attention.
Reflection Questions
- What would 'discipline of attention' look like in my reading today?
- Whose destiny am I missing because I am skimming?
