The child then became very angry and demanded that his mother immediately tell the truth. “You unchaste woman,” he said, “what is the use of your unnecessary shame? Why do you not admit your fault? Immediately tell me about your faulty behavior.”

Gauḍīya
Translation
The child then became very angry and said, "O unchaste woman! What is the use of your unnecessary shame? Why do you not admit your fault? Immediately speak."
Why do you not say your fault (avadyam)?
Personal Guidance
The newborn child himself angrily demands his mother tell the truth. Sometimes the very next generation forces the honesty the previous one keeps avoiding.
Reflection Questions
- What honesty is the next generation likely to demand of me?
- Could I speak that truth now, before I am pressed into it?
