the Lord became very brilliant.
Lord Rāmacandra, fully bathed and His head clean-shaven, dressed Himself very nicely and was decorated with a garland and ornaments. Thus He shone brightly, surrounded by His brothers and wife, who were similarly dressed and ornamented.

Gauḍīya
Translation
Rāmacandra, fully bathed and his head clean-shaven, dressed himself nicely and was decorated with a garland and ornaments. Thus he shone brightly, surrounded by his brothers and wife, who were similarly dressed and ornamented.
Personal Guidance
Bathed, shaved, garlanded, the Lord shines, surrounded by brothers and wife also splendidly dressed. The household of the Lord is beautiful — devotional life is not opposed to bodily care and dignified appearance.
Reflection Questions
- Have I confused devotional simplicity with neglect of my own and others' dignity?
- How could I dress, eat, and present myself more like a member of Rāma's household?
