O King, Sudyumna had three very pious sons, named Utkala, Gaya and Vimala, who became the kings of the Dakṣiṇā-patha.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
O King, Sudyumna’s three very pious sons, named Utkala, Gaya and Vimala, became the kings of the Dakṣiṇā-patha. Tasya means “of Sudymna.”
Despite his turbulent life, Sudyumna fathers three pious sons who become kings of southern lands. The Lord can still produce excellent fruit from a complicated tree.
Reflection Questions
  • Where am I writing off my contribution because my own story feels complicated?
  • What good might still come through me that I am underestimating?
