The Supreme Personality of Godhead as Mohinī-mūrti, the master of the universe, arranged separate lines of sitting places and seated the demigods and demons according to their positions.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
The master of the universe arranged separate lines as sitting places for the devatās and demons and seated them according to their positions. They were assigned to rows according to who would get the nectar.
Mohinī arranged separate lines and seated demigods and demons by their positions. Sometimes the kindest act is structural separation, not forced reconciliation. Order in seating prevents chaos in serving.
Reflection Questions
  • What separation in my life have I avoided in the name of inclusion that is actually causing harm?
  • Where is good 'arrangement' more loving than insistence on togetherness?
