Your Lordship (Mahārāja Parīkṣit).
Generated thereafter from the great ocean were the celebrated gems Kaustubha-maṇi and Padmarāga-maṇi. Lord Viṣṇu, to decorate His chest, desired to possess them. Generated next was the pārijāta flower, which decorates the celestial planets. O King, as you fulfill the desires of everyone on this planet by fulfilling all ambitions, the pārijāta fulfills the desires of everyone.

Translation
The Kaustubha, a type of ruby, then appeared. Lord Viṣṇu, to decorate his chest, desired to possess it. Generated next was the pārijāta flower, which decorates the celestial planets. O King, just as you fulfill the desires of everyone on this planet by bestowing what people desire, the pārijāta satisfies everyone by giving what they desire.
Personal Guidance
Kaustubha gem, Padmarāga, and the wish-fulfilling pārijāta appeared — Viṣṇu took the gems for His chest. The Lord chooses to wear what comes from the churning. He gladly accepts what we produce as ornament on His own body.
Reflection Questions
- What 'gem' produced through my efforts might the Lord want to wear, if I offered it?
- Where am I hoarding what was made to decorate Him?
