Gauḍīya
Translation
When nectar did not appear from the ocean of milk from churning by the best of the devatās and demons, Ajita personally began to churn the ocean.
The nectar did not come out because first the impure parts had to be taken out. Only then could the nectar appear.
Personal Guidance
When the demigods and demons could not produce nectar, the Lord Ajita Himself began to churn. There comes a point in every spiritual project where our effort stalls and the Lord must directly enter the work. We do not have to do it all.
Reflection Questions
- What in my life have I been churning fruitlessly that I have not yet asked the Lord to take over?
- Can I distinguish between not-trying-hard-enough and time-to-step-back-and-let-Him?
