Translation
Then Lord Brahmā and Lord Śiva, after offering their respects to the Lord, returned to their abodes. All the devatās then approached Mahārāja Bali.
Upeyuḥ means “they approached.”
Personal Guidance
Brahmā and Śiva offered obeisances and returned to their abodes. The demigods then approached Bali. After receiving guidance, even the most exalted simply got to work — no fanfare, no postponement. Hearing leads to doing.
Reflection Questions
- What teaching have I recently heard that I have still not acted on?
- Do I imitate the demigods' quick execution, or do I prefer to keep discussing the plan?
