Hari, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Nārāyaṇa, thereafter addressed Śukrācārya, who was sitting nearby in the midst of the assembly with the priests [brahma, hotā, udgātā and adhvaryu]. O Mahārāja Parīkṣit, these priests were all brahma-vādīs, followers of the Vedic principles for performing sacrifices.

Translation
O King! Nārāyaṇa, who removes offenses, thereafter addressed Śukrācārya, who was sitting nearby in the midst of the assembly of priests, knowers of the Vedas.
Hari means “the Lord who takes away the offense of Śukrācārya because he was related to Bali.”

Personal Guidance
The Lord then addressed Śukrācārya, who was sitting nearby with the four priests — all brahma-vādīs following Vedic principles. Even the guru who cursed Bali is still in the assembly. The Lord respects role, not just stance.
Reflection Questions
- Where do I exile those who have erred recently, even when their role still has standing?
- Whose presence in my assembly do I begrudge — and what would respecting their role open?
