Translation
When Hiraṇyakaśipu heard the news of his brother's being killed, with great anger he went to the residence of Viṣṇu, the killer of his brother, wanting to kill Lord Viṣṇu.
Personal Guidance
Hiraṇyakaśipu, hearing of his brother's death, went in anger to kill Viṣṇu. Demonic grief converts straight to murder. Without a higher framework, loss produces nothing but rage and revenge.
Reflection Questions
- Where has my grief, untransmuted, become a desire for retaliation?
- What framework helps me let grief mature into something other than vengeance?
