While engaged in performing the sacrifice in the field known as Bhṛgukaccha, on the northern bank of the Narmadā River, the brahminical priests, the descendants of Bhṛgu, saw Vāmanadeva to be like the sun rising nearby.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
While engaged in performing the sacrifice in the field known as Bhṛgukaccha, on the northern bank of the Narmadā River, the priests, the descendants of Bhṛgu, saw that Vāmana, who was like the rising sun, was standing nearby.
On the Narmadā's north bank at Bhṛgukaccha, the Bhṛgu priests saw Vāmana approaching like a nearby sun. Even Bhṛgu-line brāhmaṇas, who empowered Bali, recognize His arrival. The Lord is unmistakable when He comes.
Reflection Questions
  • Whom around me — even spiritually powerful — would I recognize the Lord through if He arrived?
  • Where am I checking the wrong direction for the Lord's arrival?
