Mother earth gave Him a deerskin, and the demigod of the moon, who is the king of the forest, gave Him a brahma-daṇḍa [the rod of a brahmacārī]. His mother, Aditi, gave Him cloth for underwear, and the deity presiding over the heavenly kingdom offered Him an umbrella.

Gauḍīya
Translation
Mother earth gave him a deerskin, and the devatā of the moon, who is the king of the forest, gave him a staff. His mother, Aditi, gave him cloth for underwear, and Svarga offered the lord of the universe an umbrella.
Personal Guidance
Earth gave deerskin; moon gave brahma-daṇḍa; Aditi gave underwear; the heavenly deity gave an umbrella. Every demigod participated in equipping the boy. Even abstract realities — earth, moon — make tangible gifts.
Reflection Questions
- What 'gift from the elements' has equipped me that I never recognized?
- Where could I imagine the world's contributions to me as gifts from named deities?
