You have prayed to Me and properly worshiped Me by performing the great payo-vrata ceremony for the sake of protecting your sons. Because of Kaśyapa Muni’s austerities, I shall agree to become your son and thus protect your other sons.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
You have praised and worshiped me properly by performing the payo-vrata for the sake of protecting your sons. Situated in Kaśyapa Muni's austerities, becoming your son by my portion, I shall protect your other sons. Situated in the austerity of Kaśyapa, I will become your son.
Because of Kaśyapa's austerities, I will become your son to protect your other sons. The Lord arrives as solution by incarnating Himself. The biggest blessings ride on a husband's tapasya as much as a wife's vow.
Reflection Questions
  • Where is my partner's tapasya contributing to a blessing I think I earned alone?
  • What 'other sons' might benefit if the Lord chose to enter our household more deeply?
