O most auspicious lady, one should perform all the ceremonies under the direction of learned ācāryas and should satisfy them and their priests. By distributing prasāda, one should also satisfy the brāhmaṇas and others who have assembled.
Gauḍīya Ācāryas
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura
Gauḍīya
Translation
O woman with a smile! One should satisfy them and as far as possible others who have assembled, by pure food with excellent qualities.
Personal Guidance
Perform under learned ācāryas' direction, satisfy them and the priests, and distribute prasāda to all assembled. The ceremony has both vertical and horizontal duties — honor those above; feed those gathered.
Reflection Questions
- Where do I keep my dharmic ritual private when it could feed many?
- Whom in my life functions as 'ācārya' — and do I serve them with the same dignity as I serve those below me?
