Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
I have briefly explained to you the position of the first seven Manvantaras. Now I shall describe the future Manvantaras, along with the incarnations of Viṣṇu.
Now I shall describe the future Manus, along with the Lord's incarnations. The Bhāgavatam confidently foretells what is millions of years ahead. Śāstra speaks of past, present, and future as one continuous fabric.
Reflection Questions
  • Do I treat śāstra as a record of the past or as a description of all time?
  • Where does my anxiety about the future come from a lack of trust in this larger telling?
