Rebuking Indra with harsh, cruel words that were piercing to the heart, these demons showered him with arrows, just as torrents of rain wash a great mountain.

Gauḍīya
Translation
Rebuking Indra with harsh words that were piercing to the heart, these demons showered him with arrows, just as clouds shower torrents of rain upon a mountain.
Personal Guidance
They rebuked Indra with piercing words and showered arrows like torrents of rain on a mountain. Sustained verbal and physical attack tries to break the immovable. Mountains stand precisely because they have endured many storms.
Reflection Questions
- What 'mountain' in me has been showered with arrows lately and still stands — and what kept it standing?
- Where am I imagining myself a target when I am actually built for endurance?
