Translation
During the reign of Tāmasa Manu, the devatās were the Satyakas, Haris and Vīras. The heavenly King, Indra, was Triśikha. The sages were headed by Jyotirdhāma.
In Tāmasa's manvantara new groups of demigods and sages took up their duties under Indra Triśikha. The universe runs on rotating teams of servants. No one is indispensable, yet every faithful server matters during their watch.
Reflection Questions
  • Do I serve as if my contribution is the only one that matters, or as part of a long relay?
  • What would it feel like to do my duty wholeheartedly and then hand it off without clinging?
