O King, the third Manu, Uttama, was the son of King Priyavrata. Among the sons of this Manu were Pavana, Sṛñjaya and Yajñahotra.

Translation
O King, the third Manu, Uttama, was the son of King Priyavrata. Among the sons of this Manu were Pavana, Sṛñjaya and Yajñahotra.
Uttama, son of the devoted king Priyavrata, became the third Manu. Spiritual lineage flows through generations when parents take their dharma seriously. The names of our descendants may be remembered if we live so that something worth carrying forward actually forms in us.
Reflection Questions
  • What spiritual inheritance am I actively shaping for the next generation?
  • If my grandchildren told my story, what would they say I stood for?
