Vedaśirā was a very celebrated ṛṣi. From the womb of his wife, whose name was Tuṣitā, came the avatāra named Vibhu.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
The sage Vedaśirāṣ wife was Tuṣitā. From her womb was born the avatāra named Vibhu.
From the sage Vedaśirā and his wife Tuṣitā came the avatāra Vibhu. The Lord chooses pure households for His appearance. The dignity of a marriage is measured not by wealth but by what kind of being can comfortably appear in it.
Reflection Questions
  • What atmosphere does my home offer — one the Lord would feel welcome in, or one He would avoid?
  • How can I quietly purify the tone of my household this week?
