Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Brahmā requested Prahlāda, who was standing nearby. “My dear son, please go forward and appease the Lord who is angry at your father.”
Brahmā turns to small Prahlāda standing nearby: please go forward and pacify the Lord. Sometimes the one most qualified to approach the fierce face of God is not the most powerful demigod but the most loved devotee. Closeness to the Lord trumps cosmic status.
Reflection Questions
  • Whose simple devotion in your circle may be more qualified to handle a hard situation than your strategists?
  • Where do you defer to power when love is what is actually needed?
