The Personality of Godhead replied: My dear Lord Brahmā, O great lord born from the lotus flower, just as it is dangerous to feed milk to a snake, so it is dangerous to give benedictions to demons, who are by nature ferocious and jealous. I warn you not to give such benedictions to any demon again.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
The Lord said: O powerful Brahmā born from the lotus! Just as it is dangerous to feed milk to a snake, so it is dangerous to give benedictions to demons, who are by nature cruel. Do not give them such benedictions in the future.
The Lord tells Brahmā: giving benedictions to demons is like feeding milk to a snake — do not do it again. Generosity must be discerning. Some gifts amplify what should not be amplified.
