all gathered together.
Struck with wonder and disappointment upon seeing the strength of the demon, the demigods lost their own strength. Therefore they all met together to try to please the Supersoul, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Nārāyaṇa, by worshiping Him.

Gauḍīya
Translation
Struck with wonder and disappointment, bereft of strength, the devatās gathered together and worshipped the original person, antaryāmī.
Pratyañcam means “he who is within.”
Personal Guidance
Astonished and weakened, the demigods met together to please Nārāyaṇa with worship. The right response to total defeat is collective return to the Supreme.
Reflection Questions
- Whom do I gather with in defeat — and whom do we collectively turn to?
- Have I been trying to recover individually when group worship is the move?
