This prayer, Nārāyaṇa-kavaca, constitutes subtle knowledge transcendentally connected with Nārāyaṇa. One who employs this prayer is never disturbed or put in danger by the government, by plunderers, by evil demons or by any type of disease.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
One who employs this prayer will have no fear from the government, plunderers, and evil demons or from any type of disease at any time.
This kavaca is subtle knowledge transcendentally connected with Nārāyaṇa; its user is never disturbed by government, plunderers, demons, or sickness. The protection is comprehensive precisely because it is connected to Him.
Reflection Questions
  • Where do I imagine that 'real' problems (legal, financial, medical) lie outside spirituality's reach?
  • What would change if I treated this kavaca as the actual first line of defense?
