Dear son, we have been defeated by our enemies, and therefore we are very much aggrieved. Please mercifully fulfill our desires by relieving our distress through the strength of your austerities. Please fulfill our prayers.

O son! You should follow our order and take away the distress of your parents who have been painfully defeated.

Personal Guidance
We have been defeated by enemies and are aggrieved — please relieve our distress through the strength of your austerity. The demigods name their actual condition before asking.
Reflection Questions
- Can I name my actual condition before asking for help?
- Where have I asked for less than I needed because I wouldn't name the full distress?
