The demigods named the Mauhūrtikas took birth from the womb of Muhūrtā. These demigods deliver the results of actions to the living entities of their respective times.

Translation
The devatās named the Mauhūrtikas took birth from the womb of Muhūrtā. They deliver the results of actions to the living entities at the proper time.
Muhūrtā gave birth to the Mauhūrtikas, who deliver karmic results in their respective time slots. The clock is not neutral — each hour has its own demigods.
Reflection Questions
  • Do I treat time as flat, or do I sense the character of different parts of the day?
  • Which time of day might be the most fruitful for my spiritual practice?
