My dear Lord, it is after You endeavor that Lord Brahmā, Indra and the other directors of the cosmic manifestation become occupied with their activities. It is after You perceive the material energy, My Lord, that the senses begin to perceive. The Supreme Personality of Godhead holds all the universes on His heads like seeds of mustard. I offer my respectful obeisances unto You, that Supreme Personality, who has thousands of hoods.

Translation
May I offer respects to the Supreme Lord with a thousand hoods, after whose actions the creators of the universe can use their action senses, after whose perception, the knowledge senses can gather knowledge, and on whose head Bhū-maṇḍala rests like a mustard seed!
Śvasantam means actions. After the Lord’s actions, the devatās can use their action senses (śvasanti). After the Lord sees, the knowledge senses can perceive their sense objects.

Personal Guidance
Brahmā, Indra and others act only after Your endeavor; senses perceive only after You perceive material energy. We are downstream of His attention.
Reflection Questions
- Do I act as if I am upstream of Him?
- What humbling does the metaphysics rightly produce?
