The Supreme Brahman emanates from the Supreme Personality of Godhead and expands like the sky. Although untouched by anything material, it exists within and without. Nonetheless, the mind, intelligence, senses and living force can neither touch Him nor know Him. I offer unto Him my respectful obeisances.
Gauḍīya Ācāryas
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura
Gauḍīya
Translation
I offer respects to the Lord who spreads inside and outside like the air, and whom the mind, intelligence, senses and life airs cannot touch or know.
He offers respects to the Lord how is beyond the senses. He cannot be touched by the action senses or known by the knowledge senses. “Well, that is because he is far away.” No, he is within all bodies. But he is also outside.

Personal Guidance
The Supreme Brahman emanates from the Supreme Person and expands like sky — untouched, existing within and without, yet mind, intelligence, senses cannot touch or see it. The medium of perception cannot perceive its source.
Reflection Questions
- Where am I demanding to perceive what by definition cannot be perceived by my instruments?
- What humility does this fact ask of me?
