Since there is no sunshine in those subterranean planets, time is not divided into days and nights, and consequently fear produced by time does not exist.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
In these planets there is no fear because there are no divisions of time with day and night.
Where there is no sunshine, there is no day, no night, no fear of time. But it is also a realm of no spiritual progress. Be careful what you wish away — escape from time also means escape from opportunity for growth.
Reflection Questions
  • Where have I been wishing for relief from time pressure that may also be relief from the chance to grow?
  • How can I respect time as both pressure and gift?
