Therefore, O demons, give up the so-called happiness of family life and simply take shelter of the lotus feet of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, which are the actual shelter of fearlessness. Entanglement in family life is the root cause of material attachment, indefatigable desires, moroseness, anger, despair, fear and the desire for false prestige, all of which result in the repetition of birth and death.

Translation
Therefore give up household life, the root cause of the cycle of birth and death< Give up, thirst, attachment, lamentation, anger, desire, fear, and poverty, and worship the feet of Narasiṁha, the abode of no fear.
Rajas means thirst. Rāga means absorption. Saṁsāra is a circle and resides in the house. This is an instruction to the demons.

Personal Guidance
Family entanglement is named here as the root cause of attachment, restless desire, anger, fear, despair, and craving for prestige — and ultimately repeated birth and death. Take shelter of the Lord's feet as the real refuge of fearlessness.
Reflection Questions
- Which of these emotions (anger, fear, despair, prestige-hunger) is most active in me, and which family attachment is its root?
- What does 'taking shelter' look like for me on a day when family pressure is high?
