The residents of the palace praised the Queen: Dear Queen, your beloved son was lost a long time ago, and it is your great fortune that he now has come back. It appears, therefore, that your son will be able to protect you for a very long time and will put an end to all your material pangs.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
The public praised the queen. By good fortune, your son, destroyer of suffering, has returned after being lost a long time. He will protect the whole earth.
The residents praise: your beloved son has returned, and he'll protect you for long and end your pains. The child you almost lost can become the very one who shelters you in old age; don't underestimate the future role of someone you wounded.
Reflection Questions
  • Whom did I almost lose who may yet become my shelter?
  • What unfinished restoration with a younger family member is asking for completion?
