The two brothers Uttama and Dhruva Mahārāja also exchanged their tears. They were overwhelmed by the ecstasy of love and affection, and when they embraced one another, the hair on their bodies stood up.

Translation
Overwhelmed with affection, Uttama and Dhruva embraced each other. Their hairs stood on end and torrents of tears appeared.
The brothers Uttama and Dhruva exchange tears and embrace; the hair on their bodies stands up. The rivalry of childhood is healed by the bodily ecstasy of love; the old categories were always thinner than they seemed.
Reflection Questions
  • Which rivalry from my early years could be ended with a single sincere embrace?
  • Where am I keeping a sibling-like distance that love would close in a moment?
