The great sages then called for the Queen Mother, Sunīthā, and with her permission they installed Vena on the throne as master of the world. All the ministers, however, disagreed with this.

Translation
Calling his mother Sunīthā, the sages made Vena the King of the world, though this was not approved by the ministers.
There are two other versions of the text with prakṛty-asammataṁ (not approved by the ministers, citizens or his mother) and prakṛtyāsammatam (not approved because of his nature).

Personal Guidance
The sages got Queen-mother Sunīthā's permission and installed Vena on the throne, despite the ministers' protest. Sometimes urgency overrides better judgment, and the wrong installation is made; later sorrow is built in.
Reflection Questions
- Which urgent appointment in my life was made over wise objections — and how did it unfold?
- Where am I tempted to install someone unsuitable because the vacancy feels intolerable?
