The boy was so cruel that while playing with young boys of his age he would kill them very mercilessly, as if they were animals meant for slaughter.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Being very cruel and merciless, he would violently kill his friends playing in the playground, who were like animal meant for slaughter. Paśumāram means “killing like animals.”
He killed playmates mercilessly, like animals meant for slaughter. Some children show their nature so early that polite parents are tempted to pretend it isn't real; name it.
Reflection Questions
  • What early signal in someone close did I refuse to name and now must reckon with?
  • Where am I 'oh-they're-just-young' something that needs direct intervention?
