Maitreya said: When Lord Brahmā ordered Atri Muni to create generations after marrying Anasūyā, Atri Muni and his wife went to perform severe austerities in the valley of the mountain known as Ṛkṣa.

Translation
Maitreya said: Inspired by Brahmā to create, Atri Muni, the best of knowers of Brahman, being austere, went with his wife to Ṛkṣa Mountain.
Ṛkṣa is the name of a mountain.
Personal Guidance
Atri obeyed Brahmā's order by going to perform severe austerity before creating descendants. Even sanctioned family life begins with tapas — preparation, not impulse. Spiritual responsibility is taken on knees, not casually.
Reflection Questions
- Am I taking on family or service roles after preparation, or impulsively?
- What austerity is asked of me before my next major undertaking?
