Svāyambhuva Manu handed over his daughter Prasūti to the son of Brahmā named Dakṣa, who was also one of the progenitors of the living entities. The descendants of Dakṣa are spread throughout the three worlds.

Translation
Manu gave Prasūti, his third daughter, to Dakṣa, the son of Brahmā. They spread great population throughout the three worlds.
Prasūti's descendants spread across three worlds — choices about whom we marry and how we raise children become global currents. The family is the first laboratory of either dharma or chaos.
