Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports of the Third Canto, Fourth Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled “Vidura Approaches Maitreya.”

Translation
O best of the Kurus,Parīkṣit! The great devotee Vidura, after spending a few days on the bank of the Yamunā River, departed from there and went to the Gaṅgā, where Maitreya dwelled. Spending (siddhe) several days near the Yamunā, he went to the Gaṅgā. Thus ends the commentary on Fourth Chapter of the Third Canto of the Bhāgavatam for the pleasure of the devotees, in accordance with the previous ācāryas. Chapter Five Maitreya Describes Creation 3.5: Vidura's Talks with Maitreya 5. Vidura's Talks with Maitreya
Vidura, the self-realized soul, traveled to where Maitreya was located. Even realized souls keep moving toward higher teachings. Stay on the road; spiritual life is not a place of settling but a steady journey to deeper teachers.
Reflection Questions
  • Where have you settled spiritually, thinking your current level is the destination?
  • Who is the next teacher you should be moving toward, even if it requires travel and discomfort?
