The place where Devahūti achieved her perfection, my dear Vidura, is understood to be a most sacred spot. It is known all over the three worlds as Siddhapada.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
O Vidura! That place, called Siddha-pada, where she attained perfection, is most pure and famous in the three worlds. Vīra means “O Vidura!”
The place where Devahūti perfected herself is known across three worlds as Siddhapada. Spiritual perfection sanctifies a place permanently. Geography remembers what souls achieved there.
Reflection Questions
  • What places in my life carry the sanctity of someone's earlier achievement?
  • How does honoring such places shape my own practice within them?
