Such persons, impelled by the mode of passion, are full of anxieties and always aspire for sense gratification due to uncontrolled senses. They worship the forefathers and are busy day and night improving the economic condition of their family, social or national life.

Personal Guidance
Persons impelled by passion are always anxious and aspire for sense gratification; they worship ancestors and labor day and night for family, social, or national betterment. Even noble-sounding pursuits, when rajas-driven, breed anxiety. Notice the mode behind the activity.
Reflection Questions
- Which of my 'noble' pursuits is actually fueled by anxious passion rather than steady devotion?
- How would my activity change if I addressed the underlying mode, not just the outer work?
