In a house inside the lake she saw one thousand girls, all in the prime of youth and fragrant like lotuses.

Translation
In the lake she saw a thousand young girls, all youthful and fragrant as lotuses, residing in a house.
In a house inside the lake, a thousand young, fragrant girls greet her. The unseen interiors of the spiritual world are populated by joyful service-companions. Hidden hospitality is real.
Reflection Questions
  • What inward 'houses inside lakes' might be ready to receive me with hospitality?
  • Where do I assume desolation when service-attendants are actually waiting?
