After that, Brahmā gave up that shining and beloved form of moonlight. Viśvāvasu and other Gandharvas gladly took possession of it.

Translation
Brahmā gave up that body of beauty which became moon light, and the Gandharvas headed by Viśvāvasu accepted it
Brahmā gives up the moonlight form, and the Gandharvas take it. The forms we no longer need become the property of beings who specialize in them. What was once central to us may simply become someone else's domain.
Reflection Questions
  • What 'moonlight form' from an earlier life-stage am I still clutching that should be released?
  • Who is waiting to take up the gift I'm no longer meant to wield?
