These two personal assistants of the Supreme Lord, having been cursed, have been destined to take birth in demoniac families. After a few such births, they will return to their own positions.

Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura
Gauḍīya
Translation
The two demons were associates of the Lord, but because of a curse, they were born as demons. They will again attain their position in the spiritual world after some births.
Ha indicates “this is clearly because of the sages’ curse.”
Personal Guidance
Jaya and Vijaya, cursed, are destined to demoniac births — but after a few such births will return. Even the Lord's intimate servants pass through demonic episodes; they don't lose their position permanently. Apparent fall is sometimes a route, not a destination.
Reflection Questions
- What 'demoniac births' am I in the middle of that might be a route back, not a final fall?
- How does this verse reframe long, painful detours in spiritual life?
