Is this some extraordinary entity come in the pretense of a boar? It is very wonderful that He has come from my nose.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura Gauḍīya
Translation
Is this some divine being taking the role of a pig? This form which appeared from my nose is astonishing!
Brahmā wonders whether this is an extraordinary entity disguised as a boar — and especially that He came from his nose. The divine arrives through humble apertures. Even our least dignified parts can be doorways for the Lord.
Reflection Questions
  • From what 'humble nostril' of my life might the Lord be ready to emerge?
  • Am I willing to be surprised by where the divine shows up?
