The women danced before the sage, and the celestial singers sang to the charming accompaniment of drums, cymbals and vīṇās.

Translation
The women danced before the sage, the celestial singers sang, and attractive instruments played with drums, strings and cymbals.
The women dance and the singers sing with charming accompaniment. The display is real and well-produced. The opposition to spiritual life is rarely amateurish.
Reflection Questions
  • Where do I dismiss opposition as 'silly' when it is actually well-produced?
  • What more serious approach does it deserve from me?
